SERIES
The Korean Horror Picture Show
October 30November 2, 2014Ghosts, wicked stepmothers, and psychopathic serial killers will be exhumed from the darkest margins of Korean cinema for this Halloween selection of six of the best examples of Korean horror, a genre that has seen a vibrant renaissance in the past decade. Featuring canonical thrillers by established auteurs Park Chan-wook and Kim Jee-woon, and the visceral works of emerging directors such as Kim Yong-gyun and the Jung brothers, this program puts the spotlight on a generation of filmmakers with a flair for violent intensity.
Presented in collaboration with the Korea Society and Subway Cinema
