SERIES
Starring Diana Ross
June 1516, 2019 In honor of pop and R&B legend Diana Ross's 75th Birthday Diamond Jubilee, which brings her to New York's Radio City Music Hall on June 22, MoMI celebrates the occasion with three films in which the music star doubled as a movie star. The series features her Academy Award–nominated turn as jazz singer Billie Holiday in Lady Sings the Blues, the rags-to-riches showcase Mahogany, and Sidney Lumet's Wizard of Oz Broadway-adapted update The Wiz, in which Ross's Dorothy leads an all African American cast.
