Something Left, Something Taken, Tiny Inventions

Workshop
Cartoon Morphing with Tiny Inventions

Saturday, February 12, 2011, 2:30 p.m.

Tiny Inventions is the award winning  Brooklyn-based directing team of Max Porter and Ru Kuwahata. Known for its playful and humorous mixed-media animations, Tiny Inventions combines handcrafted art, photography, and digital techniques. In this workshop, Porter and Kuwahata will lead children in the development of a collaborative hand-drawn cartoon. Each participant will draw a series of images, using their neighbor’s first drawing as their last. When these drawings are animated, they will become a single, seamless flow of morphing images—a cartoon that can be looped indefinitely. 90 mins. $12 materials fee ($5 for Red Carpet Kids members), not including Museum admission.
