  Master Class features the brilliant production designer Mark Friedberg in
  conversation with Chief Curator David Schwartz. Friedberg has collaborate
 d with directors including Todd Haynes\, Wes Anderson\, Ang Lee\, Julie Ta
 ymor\, Jim Jarmusch\, Mira Nair\, Ed Harris\, and Jodie Foster. Trained as
  an artist\, he has brought his inventive sensibility to a wide range of i
 ndependent films. Among other films\, Friedberg will discuss how he create
 d the elaborate sets on a moving train in The Darjeeling Limited\, represe
 nted depression-era California while filming Mildred Pierce in New York\, 
 oversaw the creation of hundreds of paintings for Pollock\, and transforme
 d a flood-ruined town for Ride with the Devil. \n	\n	Friedberg will introd
 uce a screening of Synecdoche\, New York\, at 6:00 p.m. \n	\n	\n\nTickets:
