  election. To get around this\, yet still reach the outside world\, Panahi
  secretly shot this experimental documentary on an iPhone and a modest DV 
 camera and had it smuggled into France in a cake for a last-minute submiss
 ion to Cannes. As Panahi shares his day-to-day life\, plans future films\,
  and waits for a decision on his appeal\, the film unspools into a deeply
