 rfully recreating the colors and textures of the artist’s work Deutsch con
 nects the meticulously rendered tableaux with a narrative that spans the m
 yriad social upheavals of mid-twentieth century America\, from the Depress
 ion to the civil rights movement. Blown up to big-screen proportions and r
 adically re-contextualized\, Hopper’s iconic images are given new meaning 
 in this mesmerizing cinematic experiment. The screenings and conversation 
 will be followed by a reception sponsored by the Austrian Cultural Forum a
