 t innovators of funk music and the mastermind behind the bands Parliament 
 and Funkadelic a.k.a. the P-Funk All Stars. On the occasion of his eagerly
  awaited memoir entitled Brothas Be\, Yo Like George\, Ain't That Funkin' 
 Kinda Hard on You?: A Memoir (2014\, Atria Books)\, Clinton will be presen
 t for a very special evening including a discussion\, a screening of the g
 roundbreaking cult-favorite TV special&nbsp\;Cosmic Slop\, which was hoste
 d by Clinton\,&nbsp\;and a book signing. \n		\n		\n			The psychedelic tour
  de force\, three-part Cosmic Slop (Dirs. Reginald Hudlin\, Warrington Hud
 lin\, Kevin Rodney Sullivan. 1994\, 83 mins. Digital projection) initially
  generated controversy when it aired on HBO\, for its provocative depictio
 ns of class and racial tensions. Cosmic Slop was often compared to The Twi
 light Zone. This 20th-anniversary screening will be followed by a conversa
 tion with George Clinton\, moderated by James Mtume\, the Grammy-winning r
 ecording artist\, former Miles Davis band member\, and current New York ta
 lk radio show host. The discussion will be followed by a book signing with
