Dir. Andrzej Wajda. 1981, 153 mins. DCP. With Jerzy Radziwilowicz, Krystyna Janda. Wajda’s sweeping sequel to Man of Marble follows the evolution of a union organizer, modeled on Lech Walesa, from the riots of 1970 to the formation of the Solidarity trade union. Wajda incorporates rare documentary footage into the drama.
