Before there were social networks and massively multiplayer games, there was the groundbreaking Sissyfight (1999, web). Equal parts chat room, multi-player rock-paper-scissors, and Lord of the Flies, Sissyfight is set in a schoolyard where schoolgirls compete to eliminate the self-esteem of other players. The original development team recently re-made the game, and this event serves as its official launch.
