Phantom of the Paradise

Williams stars and wrote the songs for De Palma’s deliriously entertaining musical, a merging of The Phantom of the Opera and Faust set in the world of glam rock. De Palma’s cult classic—the story of a songwriter who seeks revenge on a malicious music mogul—gleefully spoofs the soulless recording industry.
