Screening & Live Event
And I Also Passed by There and Had Paper Shoes to Wear (Perasa Kai Ego Apo Ekei Kai Eiha Papoutsia Apo Harti)
Friday, October 14, 2016, 7:30 p.m.
With director Vassilis Loules in person
Dir. Vassilis Loules. 2014, 91 mins. Digital projection. Grandmothers and grandfathers living in rural villages of Trikala in central Greece tell fairytales and stories of universal and timeless appeal, stories they themselves were told as children. The hand gestures, the facial expressions, the silences, the body language, and the sense of humor convey the power and the individuality of each storyteller, giving an unusually candid view of the participants engaged in a time-honored oral tradition that dates back to Homer.
This event is sold out. An additional screening has been added on Saturday, October 15, at 1:30 p.m.
