A Vimeo Original Film
Dir. Marco Del Fiol. 2016, 86 mins. Digital projection. In English and Portuguese with English subtitles. In search of personal healing and artistic inspiration, Marina Abramović travels through Brazil experiencing sacred rituals and exploring the limits between art and spirituality. The route is comprised of poignant encounters with healers and sages from the Brazilian countryside, and sets off a profound introspective journey through memories, pain, and past experiences. A fascinating synthesis of a road movie and spiritual thriller, this film (which premiered at SXSW) brings an unprecedented approach of the intimate creative process of one of the most provocative artists of our time. “The artist’s presence is a gift, and nonfiction aficionados will be as pleased as her fans with the chance to witness it” (The Austin Chronicle).
Tickets: $20 ($15 for members at the Film Lover and MoMI Kids Premium levels / free for Silver Screen and above). Order tickets online. (Members may contact members@movingimage.us with any questions regarding online reservations.)
