Museum of the Moving Image - Redstone Theater

Presented by Craig Shemin, president of The Jim Henson Legacy and longtime Muppets writer

This unique program of rarities from the Henson archives was one of the first retrospective compilations presented by The Jim Henson Legacy and was prepared in close consultation with the late Jerry Juhl, one of Jim Henson’s closest collaborators. Newly remastered with new HD versions of some of its content, the program examines the origins of the Muppets. It includes excerpts from early live television appearances, unusual commercials, guest spots on variety shows, and much more, including clips from the rarely seen pilot episode of The Muppet Show. Program duration: 80 minutes.

Tickets: $15 ($11 seniors and students / $7 youth (ages 3–17) / free for children under 3 and Museum members at the Film Lover and Kids Premium levels and above). Order tickets online. (Members may contact members@movingimage.us with questions regarding online reservations.)

Ticket purchase includes same-day admission to the Museum (see gallery hours). View the Museum’s ticketing policy here. For more information on membership and to join online, visit our membership page.
