Sunday, April 15, 2018, 1:30 p.m.
Museum of the Moving Image – Bartos Screening Room
Introduced by Craig Shemin
1983–1987. Running Time: 75 mins. Decades before HBO had Game of Thrones, it introduced its first original series based in a fantasy world: Jim Henson’s groundbreaking Fraggle Rock. More than 30 years since Fraggle Rock ended its initial run, this program features three important episodes from new high-definition masters: “Beginnings,” which established the characters and ecosystem of the show; “All Work and All Play,” the first episode to focus on the Doozer world; and the series finale “Change of Address.” All three episodes are written by longtime Henson collaborator Jerry Juhl. Jim Henson directed the series premiere and “All Work and All Play.” Frequent Fraggle Rock director Eric Till directed the final episode.
