Sensory Friendly Screening
The Muppet Show: Julie Andrews and Rita Moreno

Part of Summer Kids Matinees & Family Matinees (Jul-Sep)
Saturday, August 4, 2018, 11:00 a.m.
Museum of the Moving Image - Redstone Theater

As The Sound of Music and West Side Story are screened in 70mm as part of the Museum’s annual See It Big series, our Summer Kids Matinees will celebrate the stars of the films in its own “See It Small” tribute of their respective appearances on The Muppet Show. Julie Andrews performs “Lonely Goatherd” and “Whistle a Happy Tune” and Rita Moreno (who received an Emmy for her Muppet Show guest turn) delivers a memorable version of “Fever,” assisted by Animal. (Episode 217 with guest Julie Andrews, aired 1977 / Episode 105 with guest Rita Moreno, aired 1979. Running time approximately 50 mins.)

Please note, this screening will be Sensory Friendly with the lights left on, but dimmed, and volume lower.

Tickets: $15 ($11 seniors and students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / free for children under 3 and Museum members at the Film Lover and Kids Premium levels and above). Order tickets online. (Members may contact members@movingimage.us with questions regarding online reservations.)
