Hong, whose real-life affair with Kim was a media scandal in Korea, here confronts his emotional life with newfound emotional directness, centered around a vulnerable and raw performance by Kim Min-hee, whose performance was awarded the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the Berlin Film Festival.
