Moving Image Studio

Part of Moving Image Studio (Spring/Summer)
Sunday, May 5, 2019, 11:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
Museum of the Moving Image - Digital Learning Suite

Moving Image Studio is the Museum's drop-in space where visitors of all ages can create media and other projects. Families are welcome to stop by and experiment with puppet making and animation inspired by The Jim Henson Exhibition and the core exhibition Behind the Screen.

On May 5, the Moving Image Studio will include a special presentation featuring the crafts of Ramadan, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Digital Learning Suite, hosted by MoMI's Neighborhood Council. Families are invited to create a digital collage and GiF with paper lantern crafts that are part of the cultural traditions of Ramadan, celebrated in Astoria and across Queens.

Free with Museum admission.
