DESCRIPTION:\n	Karen Falk\, Archives Director at The Jim Henson Company and
  Vice President of the Jim Henson Legacy\, will interview colleagues from 
 three institutions that collect\, preserve\, and exhibit material related 
 to the singular career of Muppets-creator\, director\, and performer Jim H
 enson. Participating in the event are: \n\n\n	• Barbara Miller\, Director 
 of Curatorial Affairs\, Museum of the Moving Image \n	\n	• Jill Nash Maloo
 l\, Museum Director\, Center for Puppetry Arts \n	\n	• Ryan Lintelman\, Cu
 rator of the Entertainment Collection\, National Museum of American Histor
 y\, Smithsonian Institution \n\n\n	These rich and varied collections inclu
 de puppets and other material spanning all of Jim Henson’s work for televi
 sion and film\, from his earliest production\, Sam and Friends\, to televi
 sion commercials\, variety shows\, experimental films\, Sesame Street\, Th
 e Muppet Show\, Fraggle Rock\, and the fantasy feature films The Dark Crys
 tal and Labyrinth. The curators will describe the Henson material in their
  respective collections\, the conservation challenges they face\, how they
  share their collection with the public\, the objects that are most meanin
 gful to them\, and more. The conversation\, illustrated by images of objec
 ts from each collection\, offers rare\, behind-the-scenes insight into the
  work involved in ensuring Jim Henson’s legacy for generations to come. \n
