DESCRIPTION:\n	Introduced by Jim Henson Legacy President Craig Shemin and T
he Jim Henson Company Archives Director Karen Falk \n	\n \n\n\n	The Cub
 e \n	\n	Dir. Jim Henson. 1969\, 53 mins. \n\n\n	Program total running time
: 85 mins. \n\n\n	The ongoing Jim Henson’s World screening series returns
with a special screening of some of the most seldom-seen treasures in Hens
on’s body of work. \n\n\n	Written by Jim Henson and Jerry Juhl and origina
lly presented on NBC’s series Experiment in Television\, The Cube is the s
tory of a man (Richard Schaal) who finds himself trapped in a white panele
d void while various characters (including a monk played by puppeteer Jerr
y Nelson) come and go without offering much help in his plight. The critic
ally acclaimed (and somewhat puzzling) existential story was one of Henson
’s rare non-puppet projects and an unusual program to find on network tele
vision. A year earlier\, Experiment in Television also presented Henson’s
nonfiction collage Youth ’68. \n\n\n	In addition to The Cube\, we will pre
sent a selection of Henson’s short films and commercials\, recently scanne
d in high definition from prints and negatives in The Jim Henson Company M
edia Archives. \n\nNote: The August 21 screening will be introduced by Jim
Henson Legacy President Craig Shemin and The Jim Henson Company Archives
Director Karen Falk\, who will discuss some of the documents pertaining to
The Cube that were recently added to The Jim Henson Exhibition on the Mus
 eum’s second floor. \n\n	\n	\n	  \n\n\n	Tickets: $15 / $11 seniors &amp\;
 students / $9 youth (ages 3–17) / Free MoMI members. Order online.&nbsp\;A
fter your purchase\, an electronic ticket will be sent via email. All seat
ing is general admission. Please review safety protocols before your visit
