DESCRIPTION:Dir. Joseph Kuo. 1976\, 92 mins. Newly restored 2K DCP. In Mand
arin with English subtitles. Inexplicably released before 18 Bronzemen eve
rywhere except its native Taiwan\, the sequel takes us to the dark side\,
with Carter Huang as an evil Qing prince who stages a coup\, murders his d
ad\, and poisons his brother. In flashback\, we meet Huang as a young\, fu
n-loving punch-a-holic who discovers that he can’t beat Shaolin kung fu\,
so he disguises himself and enrolls in the monastery\, determined to pack
their 20-year training program into a single year. Ultimately\, he learns
he can be a Shaolin monk or a Qing prince\, but not both. Kuo’s 18 Bronzem
en films would become so popular they remain a staple of the Shaolin legen
 d to this day.\n\n	Tickets: $15 / $11 senior and students / $9 youth (ages
3–17) / discounted for MoMI members ($7–$11). Order online. Please pick u
p tickets at the Museum's admissions desk upon arrival. All seating is gen
eral admission. Review safety protocols before your visit.\n	\n
