New York City Greek Film Festival
October 211, 2015The ninth annual New York City Greek Film Festival opens at Museum of the Moving Image with five new feature films that reflect the current renaissance in Greek cinema. Films include A Family Affair, winner of the Best Documentary Award by the Hellenic Film Academy; Little England, the award-winning period drama from famed director Pantelis Voulgaris; At Home, featuring a standout lead performance by actress Maria Kallimani; Lovestruck, winner of the 2015 Audience Award by the Hellenic Film Academy; and Stratos: Little Fish, a Mediterranean film noir laced with undertones of the Greek financial crisis.
