Internships
Film Internship: Winter/Spring 2022
Museum of the Moving Image offers a part-time internship in the film department. The intern will assist in research, preparation, and implementation of the Museum's wide-ranging film screenings and discussion programs. At this time our priority is internships that start in early January 2022, with a focus on our annual film festival, First Look. This year's festival takes place in mid-March 2022, and the internship offers a chance to assist in various aspects of festival preparation and implementation, including research, writing, organizing, liaising with artists and colleagues, and assisting with publicity and print trafficking.
Undergraduates and graduate students are encouraged to apply. A minimum commitment of two days a week is required. An openness to being present at the Museum offices for some portion of this time is preferred. Attendance and assistance during the active dates of First Look are also preferred.
Compensation: Eligibility for college credit is strongly preferred, and must be coordinated in advance with the intern’s university/college. For interns that physically come to the Museum, a stipend for travel and meals is included.
To apply, please send a single PDF that includes: 1) a cover letter and 2) your resume. If selected for an interview, applicants will be asked to provide a recommendation letter from a professor or employer.
